a group of young friends in their early twenties came together to form a band with a bass, guitar, drums, and a vocalist. They decided to take their passion for music seriously and named themselves Kalinka.
The band started performing in pubs in Salento and Puglia, establishing a distinct patchanka-folk identity. They explored a wide range of Italian and international music, focusing on singer-songwriter songs that resonated with themes of change.
The band became a social promotion association, increasing their live shows and improving their performances. They incorporated the music of artists like 99 Posse, Manu Chao, Mannarino, Bandabardò, Lucio Dalla, Rino Gaetano, Lucio Battisti, Domenico Modugno, Vinicio Capossela, and Balkan music, as well as popular dances and Salento pinch.
Kalinka evolved into an entertainment company with the goal of organizing large-scale concerts that capture the atmosphere of traditional village festivals in Salento and Apulia, filled with music, color, and fun.
Kalinka expanded into a diverse family of artists and instruments, forming six live bands and four acoustic bands. They aim to blend various sounds to create a unique musical experience without boundaries.
He is our Scouting and Marketing Manager, and he is also a very talented bass player. He is constantly seeking out new talents to showcase on stage and he also works on promoting Kalinka as a hub for musical projects.
Logistics & HR Manager Can music and logistics coexist? Yes, if Andrea is involved. With his logical side, he manages the team and coordinates all of the band's activities. With his emotional side, he takes the stage with his electric guitar.
Elisa handles your quote requests and supports you throughout our collaboration. She is adept at listening, so feel free to share all your wishes with her. She always has a full schedule and plenty of notes with her, and she also has infinite patience.
If our communication agency requests materials, Giuseppe responds with a series of photos and live videos of the performances. He's our photographer and videographer for social media, but we like to call him a groupie. He's always downstage with the REC button turned on!
If the performance goes without a hitch, the credit always goes only to our Marco Leo, a professional entertainer. He accompanies us during live performances and makes sure everything works perfectly: dodging audio interference is his favorite skill.
He's not just a technician or an assistant; he's more than that. He's the one who takes care of the entire musical setup. He's a roadie, but he's also our savior. He's always the first to arrive and the last to leave, and he has incredible physical and mental endurance.
When the lights come on and sound fills the air, there is a magician behind the scenes who has thought of everything: he set up the instruments, adjusted the microphone, tested the acoustics and coordinated the lights. It's Francesco, he's the magician!
Right-hand man of the bands, he protects their music and the atmosphere that surrounds them on stage. If there is someone who knows how to create vibrations through lights, shadows and sounds it is Andrin: with him the performance enters the hearts of the audience forever.
